Method Statement
To ensure a professional execution and completion of all our projects we use the Method Statement Approach
How we use the method statement
- This is a system that describes in a logical sequence exactly how a job is to be carried out in a safe manner and without health risks.
- It includes all the risks identified in the risk assessment and the measures needed to control those risks. This allows the job to be properly planned and resourced.
From our project management experience the following are the benefits of using a method statement
- Better co-ordination and planning of the project
- Early identification of safety risks and hazards involved in the project.
- Provides ability to mitigate identified projects risk and hazards early.
- Serve as communication platform with client, employees and other parties affected by the project.
Our method statement contains detailed information about following tasks & activities:
- The project
- The specific activities the method statement relates to
- A description of the work involved
- Start date and duration of each task
- Hours of work
- Designated assessor
- Who has key responsibilities
- The hazards associated with each task
- The hazards associated with the site and environment
- References to other documents such as risk assessments that apply to each task
- Monitoring arrangements
- First aid and welfare arrangements
- Emergency procedures
- Safety Reporting and filing
